Mateusz

Traveller from Poland

Story

We have met with Mateusz in 2017 for the first time na dhe was considering buying  aproperty at that time. Suddenly he needed to move to Ireland when being transferred by Amazon as his employer. Destiny wanted so and he moved back to Prague in 2020. His intention of buying a property was still on the table but now it was all about having a Cottage he can spends the weekends at. Calm place he can run away to get some rest from busy Prague streets. As the market was developing a lot and prices of this type properties have been raising significantly we needed to speed it all up. After all hard effort we all put into property search, Mateusz owns a lovely Cottage in North Bohemia.

Specifics of the case:

  • Buying a property only 3months after being back from Ireland
  • Financing the purchase together with a reconstruction
  • Being under time pressure from the real beginning
  • Cooperating on the budget for the reconstruction
  • Only 10% of the downpayment

What was negotiated:

  • The best conditions for 90% on the market at that time
  • Putting the priority on the case when approving the loan => speeding it up
  • Many changes in the purchase and escrow contract in Mateusz’s favor

Few words from the happy new homeowner:

I always dreamt about my own get-away spot. Far from the noise of the city, in the nature, preferably around a lake or a river.  Dealing with banks, realtors and owners was as tough as it gets, and adding my poor knowledge the market and Czech language skils, it makes it impossible. Unless you work with Ondrej and Check To Be Czech he made it so simple, explaining every step, every document, taking care of all the smallest details. It wasn’t an easy task but he was always there, always available and supportive. Now, I have my dream house, at the river side, surrounded by hills and forests to roam, with a good mortgage rate, and some extra for renovations. I wouldn’t be able to achieve it without Check To Be Czech and Ondrej in particular.
